Tax Planning for Physicians Entering Practice

This seminar will focus on tax planning strategies that would be beneficial to physicians as soon as they complete their residency.
Presenter will be Brad Bokhaut of Bokhaut & Company, Chartered Accountant Inc. – Tax and Accounting for Physicians, Medical Corporations and Clinics.
This firm provides tax preparation and planning services to over 450 physicians and 250 medical corporations in Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario and B.C.
Issues to be discussed include:
Making your interest expense tax deductible
Tax exempt scholarship/bursary/fellowship income
Expenses you should deduct and documents you should keep
Deducting assets you purchased during med school and residency
Determining when incorporating your practice is beneficial
Strategies that can be used by medical corporations to save and defer tax
