Annual General Meeting – May 23, 2017

In between April 15 and June 15 of each year, PARIM elections are conducted at the Annual General Meeting. Here, members are nominated and elected for positions on the Executive Committee.

Executive Committee

PARIM Executive nomination form 2017-18

Looking to contribute further? Want to be more involved with developing PARIM as an organization? Consider running for the following Executive positions (these are some of the key tasks assigned to each Councillor):

President

    PARIM President Duties 2017-2018

  • Chair the Executive and Advisory Council meetings, attend all Board meetings
  • Review correspondence
  • Conduct and manage all PARIM business generally
  • Supervise office staff
  • Represent PARIM at various committees (University, College, WRHA and others)
  • Represent Residents on the Doctors Manitoba Board of Directors
  • Attend Resident Doctors of Canada AGM and Board meetings in Ottawa
  • As Past-President in subsequent year, advise and assist with the next President

Vice President

    PARIM Vice President Duties 2017-2018

  • Chair the Board meetings, attend all Executive and Advisory Council meetings
  • Work with the President to conduct and manage all PARIM business generally
  • Assist with the new resident orientation
  • Attend other Committee meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Secretary

    PARIM Secretary Duties 2017-2018

  • Identify and address member concerns and needs for information
  • Chair the Communications & Membership Outreach Committee
  • Assist with social media, the quarterly newsletter, the website, and other forms of communication
  • Attend all PARIM Executive, Board, and Advisory meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Treasurer

    PARIM Treasurer Duties 2017-2018

  • Develop a budget
  • Review finances
  • Meet with PARIM’s investment advisor
  • Attend all PARIM Executive, Board, and Advisory meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

The following two positions will be elected at the AGM but serve on the Board of Directors (and not on the Executive Committee):

Members-at-Large Resident Doctors of Canada (RDoC) representative

    PARIM RDoC Duties 2017-2018

  • Attend RDoC meetings (4 per year) in Ottawa and teleconferences (if any)
  • Liaise between PARIM and RDoC
  • Attend PARIM Board meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Director-at-Large Board member
