Election: Executive, RDoC Representative, and Director-at-Large

PARIM elections for the Executive Committee (exclusive of President) as well as the Board positions of RDoC Representative and Director-at-Large take place each year prior to the AGM (the rest of the Board are elected in July). Nominations for 2022-2023 will be accepted from April 5 through May 5. Voting will be open between May 10-17, and the results announced at the AGM on May 17.

The Executive positions are:

Vice President

PARIM Vice President Duties

  • Chair the Board meetings, attend all Executive and Advisory Council meetings
  • Work with the President to conduct and manage all PARIM business generally
  • Assist with the new resident orientation
  • Attend other Committee meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Treasurer

PARIM Treasurer Duties

  • Develop a budget
  • Review finances
  • Meet with PARIM’s investment advisor
  • Attend all PARIM Executive, Board, and Advisory meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Secretary

PARIM Secretary Duties

  • Identify and address member concerns and needs for information
  • Chair the Communications & Membership Outreach Committee
  • Assist with social media and other forms of communication
  • Attend all PARIM Executive, Board, and Advisory meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

The following two positions will be elected at the AGM and serve on the Board of Directors (not on the Executive Committee):

Resident Doctors of Canada (RDoC) Representative

PARIM RDoC Duties

  • Attend RDoC meetings (4 per year) in Ottawa or over Zoom
  • Liaise between PARIM and RDoC
  • Attend PARIM Board meetings
  • Represent PARIM at various committees

Director-at-Large Board Member

PARIM Director-at-Large Duties

  • Attend all PARIM Board meetings
  • Chair the Social & Wellness Committee, and plan a Welcome Event
  • Liaise between PARIM and members
  • Represent PARIM at various committees
