PARIM Community Outreach Campaign- Supporting Older Manitobans

As Manitoba’s resident doctors, we train across the province and continue to provide frontline healthcare to Manitobans throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We have encountered how older Manitobans are being significantly impacted during these challenging times. They have contributed so much within our local communities and yet are some of the most vulnerable and underserved members of society. In response, the Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Manitoba (PARIM) is proud to be partner with A & O: Support Services for Older Adults, on a fundraising campaign. A & O is a not-for-profit organization that provides specialized services which help to address Safety & Security, Social Engagement and Counselling for older adults across Manitoba.

Please see here for an interview on CJOB with PARIM President Dr. Joshua Aquin, and here for an interview in the Winnipeg Sun with PARIM Board Member Dr. Benjamin Arenson.

This campaign runs from June 1-18, 2021 with a goal of raising $5000 in support of the innovative programs and services that A & O provides. It will coincide with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day on June 15, 2021.

Older Manitobans need to know they are not alone.
