Five Consecutive Days Off in Period 7

You are entitled to 5 consecutive days off over the December holidays. The 5 days off must include Christmas Day and/or Boxing Day or New Year’s Day, and must include a weekend (which is considered one of your weekends off).

Examples in 2026 include:

Dec 23, 24, 25, 26, 27

Dec 24, 25, 26, 27, 28

Dec 25, 26, 27, 28, 29

Dec 26, 27, 28, 29, 30

Dec 30, 31, Jan 1, 2, 3

Dec 31, Jan 1, 2, 3, 4

Jan 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

A Program can also choose to give you days off before and/or after these 5 days as normal days off (i.e., you weren’t going to be scheduled anyway or as vacation).

You may also take the 5 days off at another time of the year, at a time mutually agreed between you and your program, in which case the 5 days does not need to include a weekend.

Remember, too, that you do not need to make up time or call for the five days off!

Let your program know when you want to take your 5 days by November 15 at the latest.  Schedules must be up 14 days in advance of the Block.
