Resident Post-Call Transportation Program

PGME and PARIM are pleased to offer the Post-Call Transportation Program. This program aims to support the well-being of residents by reimbursing their transportation expenses to return home when they are too tired to safely drive after a call shift. The costs eligible for reimbursement also include travel back to the clinical site to retrieve their vehicle after they have had an adequate opportunity to rest.

PGME’s Resident Safety Policy, Article 3.1.1.3.1 states that: “Post call, if a Resident is too tired to safely operate a motor vehicle, he/she is advised to refrain from travel, by utilizing a call room until rested or take a taxi home.”
